If you read or listen to any news, chances are that you’ve heard about the many crimes and accidents that happen on an almost-daily basis. One thing you probably haven’t heard about – or even think about – is how the family of victims cope with the traumatic or sudden loss of a loved one. That’s where TIP comes in.
TIP (Trauma Intervention Programs), Inc is a non-profit organization of volunteers who respond to traumatic incidents at the request of Police, Fire and Hospital personnel to support those who are emotionally traumatized.
Cendecon has been asked to speak at a monthly continuing education class for TIP volunteers. We are always happy to let people know who we are and what we do and answer any questions that anyone may have.
In addition to that, Cendecon is currently working on forming a TIP charter in Bakersfield.
For anyone who is interested in joining a TIP charter or would like more information, you can check out their website at: www.tipnational.org
